Good poker players seek an advantage. They don’t hope to get lucky, they make their own luck using what they have and make the best of it, judging their opponents play.
A disciplined player knows when to play and when to quit. He recognizes when he is on tilt or too tired to play optimally.
A disciplined player knows that he is not perfect. When a disciplined player makes a mistake, he learns and moves on to the next game without blaming others or whining.
